Getting started
How do I create an account?
Choose Start free, enter your email address and a password, and confirm your email. Your account starts on the free plan.
Which devices can I use?
Any modern browser on a phone, tablet or computer. You can install TopMD like an app from your browser's menu ("Install app" or "Add to Home Screen").
How many devices can I use?
Three registered devices per account (1 computer, 1 phone and 1 tablet), one signed in at a time: signing in on one signs out the others. To use a new device of a kind you already have, remove the old one in Account → My devices or when you sign in (once every 30 days for each kind).
I forgot my password.
Use Forgot password on the sign-in page to get a reset link by email.
Studying
What's the difference between tutor and timed mode?
Tutor shows the explanation right after each answer. Timed runs a clock and keeps explanations for the end, like the real exam.
What are fixed assessments?
Fixed forms with locked, timed blocks. You see a full score report afterwards, and a percentile once 20 or more peers have taken the same form.
How do flashcards work?
Create cards from any question or note. TopMD uses the SM-2 spaced repetition method to schedule each card just before you're likely to forget it.
Can I study offline?
Yes. Sources you've opened stay available without internet, and your answers sync when you're back online.
What is Smart Mix?
A test built for you from missed, marked and unseen questions across the banks you can open.
Plans and subscription codes
What does the free plan include?
Every question bank and assessment marked Free, in every hub, plus all study tools. See Pricing.
How do I get Premium?
Enter a subscription code in Account → Extend subscription. Contact us to get one.
Do I lose my work when Premium ends?
No. Your answers, notes, flashcards and bookmarks stay; only Premium sources close until you add a new code.
Privacy and security
What data do you keep?
Only what's needed to run your account and your study: your email and name, your answers and notes, and the devices you sign in on. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
Do you show ads or use trackers?
No. TopMD has no ads and no third-party analytics or tracking scripts.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Send us a request from the email address on your account and we'll delete it and its study data.
